Indoor and Air-Conditioned Mesquite Arena is home to the Mesquite ProRodeo Series, Arenacross, Monster Trucks, Concerts, Boxing and much more. Most rodeos on the professional cowboy circuit last a few days or a week, then the cowboys move on to the next one. But it goes on and on for six-month season each year. Since it start in 1958 it has become the best-known rodeo in the nation.
The month of April kicks off the season every Friday and Saturday night 8pm two hours of edge of the seat action with a colorful Grand Entry of cowboys and cowgirls on horseback from their the show explodes with the traditional cowboy competitions. The show including bull and bronco riding, calf roping, and steer wrestling. Other events include ladies’ barrel-racing, a calf-scramble for kids.
